When I am crazy about something, I love to share it, shout it from the rooftops and pretty much let everyone around me know all about it. That is exactly how I feel about Melissa Casteel and her talented landscape architect self. Melissa is the owner and brains behind Mondo Land Planning & Design. We met over the phone. She called me inquiring about a family session and when I found out she is a landscape architect, I then turned the tables and started questioning her. We happened to be in need of her services. So, we chatted a few more times and I just knew that she was the gal for us. Her process is warm, professional and very custom. From the initial visit to the wrap up, we had an easy going rapport.
This is cutie Melissa…….

I can’t rave enough about her talent. She is thoughtful and very design savvy whatever your style. She asks questions you would never have thought of otherwise. And with her designs, she has turned our landscape problem areas into what will be our favorite hangout places in our yard. Our project will be a big process done in phases. We are currently in the white X’s marked all over the trees that need to be cut down phase. It could take a while, but thanks to Melissa, I don’t wake up at night wondering how in the world to tackle our yard anymore……
Now, what I think is cool is that Melissa, with all of her fancy background and experience, really loves working with homeowners best. Her own home is completely delightful and is such a joy to visit. She has combined her design/family/home love and come up with a sassy Quick Plan for homeowners who would love a bit of freshening up without a giganto plan. I have told lots of folks about this option and they are drooling over the idea. Go check out the Quick Plan if you’re in need of some landscape design assistance. You’re just in time to be ahead for fall planting. Or, if you are in need of the full enchilada, I can’t recommend Melissa enough. For whatever you choose, she takes in to consideration your style, vision, budget, how much you want to do or not do for yourself, etc and so on.
So, Melissa and I hung out for a bit around her own yard for some photos. She is currently in the process of updating her website. She wanted some up close and lovely detail shots for her site to bring about a cozy message that homeowners can relate to……(Click here to stay in the know and like Mondo on Facebook!)
